Descripción : The cultivation of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a very important vegetable for Ecuador, as it is part of the basic family food basket and is the fourth most widely planted vegetable. The country produces 18.4 t/ha, lower than the yield of neighboring countries such as Colombia with 28.3 and Peru with 30 t/ha. Therefore, it is necessary to look for alternatives to increase yields, such as nutrition and hormonal balance. During flowering, calcium is required in greater quantities because at this stage the plant is not able to supply as much as it needs, in addition to the low mobility of Ca within the plant. Boron is also important during flowering since it is a fruit set enhancer par excellence because it intervenes in the germination and elongation of the pollen tube, the metabolism and transport of sugars. Cytokinins are biostimulants of natural origin that influence plant growth, plant nutrition, flower setting, fruit development and root growth due to their action on cell division. In the present investigation, 5 treatments were applied: (T0: Control); (T1: Ca: 0, B: 0 and Citk: 1.5ml/l); (T2: Ca: 0, B: 0 and Citk: 2.5ml/l); (T3: Ca: 3.75 ml/l, B: 1.35 ml/l and Citk: 1.5ml/l); (T4: Ca: 3.75 ml/l, B: 1.35 ml/l and Citk: 2.5ml/l), applied during flowering. Therefore, the tomato crop Elpida variety was established in the greenhouse of the experimental farms of the National University of Loja, in the sector of La Argelia, city of Loja. With planting distances of 1.3m between rows and 0.3m between plants, under a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 replications. The variables evaluated were: number of bunches per plant; number of flowers per bunch; number of fruit per plant; number of fruit per bunch; yield; fruit diameter; brix degrees; Ph and titratable acidity. In the results, T4 stood out in the following variables: number of bunches per plant (higher at 8, 23 and 38 days after treatment); number of fruits per plant (37.02), fruit diameter (6.83 mm) and yield (99.22 t/ha). For the variable number of flowers per bunch, treatments T1, T2, T3 and T4 reached an average of 7.95 flowers per bunch, all higher than T0 with 6.36 flowers per bunch. The number of fruits per bunch, treatments T1, T2, T3 and T4 obtained an average of (7.62), exceeding the control (5.57). There were no significant differences between treatments in the variables indicating fruit quality, such as Ph, Brix degrees and titratable acidity. The results of this research highlight the effect of the application of Ca - B and Citk, because it increases tomato yield under greenhouse conditions. Key words: Nutrition, hormones, flowers, fruits, yield.
