| Descripción : | This thesis entitled: MANAGEMENT AUDIT TO THE LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT OF THE MECHANIZED CABALLERY GROUP N°18 "CAZADORES DE LOS RÍOS" OF THE CITY OF LOJA, PERIOD 2019, was developed with the purpose of evaluating the development of the activities of the audited department and propose recommendations to improve the management of the institution. The management audit was developed with each of its phases starting with the preliminary knowledge of the entity and planning where the previous visit was carried out for the collection of information, then in the execution phase internal control questionnaires were applied to know the deficiencies of the entity through the weighting of each of the questions of the questionnaires and subsequently detailed in the respective narrative cards, In addition, the respective management audit programs were prepared, which served as a guide to analyze the department's management, which was contrasted with the physical evidence, management indicators were applied to establish the level of efficiency, effectiveness and economy, and then the final report was prepared with comments, conclusions and recommendations for the improvement of the audited department's activities. As a result of the management audit, it is established that it does not have a training plan, and the lack of a Job Classification Manual where employees clearly know the assigned activities, compliance with the processes established in the entity for the acquisition of goods and provision of means of transportation, it does not have enough computer equipment, the allocated budget does not cover all the needs of the institution.
