| dc.description | Pre-writing is the set of strokes that children make to successfully face the phase of writing letters, syllables and words; these features are essential for them to acquire the necessary skills and confidence to begin formal writing. On the other hand, graphomotor skills are studied, which are exercises that involve the coordination of the hand and fingers to perform more precise and controlled movements. Therefore, the present research aimed to determine how graphomotor skills affect the acquisition of pre-writing in high school children of the Escuela de Educación Básica Particular Estancia Pekes in the city of Loja. It was developed under a quasi-experimental design, with a descriptive scope, and a mixed approach that allowed collecting, analyzing and describing quantitative and qualitative data; in addition, inductive - deductive and analytical - synthetic methods were used, which were fundamental to carry out the research. To identify the problem, the ABC Test of Lorenzo Filho, modified to the children's needs, was applied, proving that 74% of the children were at a low and lower level at the beginning of the research, after intervening with the activity guide based on graphomotor exercises, an increase of 83% was noted, reaching the upper and middle levels. Verifying and corroborating the research with other authors, it was determined that graphomotor skills have a significant impact on the development of pre-writing, in addition to being a learning complement that allows the child to obtain more refined and adequate movements for later writing. | dc.description.abstract | La preescritura son los trazos que realizan los niños para afrontar con éxito la fase de una escritura de letras, sílabas y palabras, estos rasgos son esenciales para que adquieran la destreza y confianza necesaria al comenzar con la escritura formal. Por otro lado, se estudia la grafomotricidad, que son ejercicios que involucran la coordinación de la mano y los dedos para realizar movimientos más precisos y controlados; por ello, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar como la grafomotricidad incide en la adquisición de la preescritura en niños de preparatoria de la Escuela de Educación Básica Particular Estancia Pekes en la ciudad de Loja. Se desarrolló bajo el diseño cuasi experimental, con alcance descriptivo y un enfoque mixto que permitió recolectar, analizar y describir datos cuantitativos y cualitativos; además se utilizó los métodos inductivo – deductivo y analítico – sintético los cuales fueron fundamentales para llevar a cabo la investigación. Con la finalidad de identificar el problema se aplicó el Test ABC de Lorenzo Filho modificado a las necesidades de los niños, comprobando que el 74% de niños se encontraban en nivel bajo e inferior al inicio de la investigación, luego de intervenir con la guía de actividades basada en ejercicios grafomotrices se denotó un aumento del 83% logrando ubicarse en el nivel superior y medio. Verificando y corroborando la investigación con otros autores, se determinó que la grafomotricidad tiene un impacto significativo en el desarrollo de la preescritura, a más de ser un complemento de aprendizaje, que permite al niño lograr obtener movimientos más refinados y adecuados para una escritura posterior.
