| Resumen : | La competitividad investigativa de los estudiantes en la educación superior es importante como un eje del desarrollo profesional, social y personal de cada individuo, asimismo, estas competencias permiten la generación de conocimiento científico a través de diferentes informes investigativos que aportan a la academia. El objetivo macro de la investigación trató en determinar el nivel de las competencias investigativas procedimentales de los estudiantes de carreras pedagógicas de la Universidad Nacional de Loja para el desarrollo de un informe de investigación y comparar analíticamente los resultados. La metodología utilizada respondió a un enfoque mixto de diseño no experimental y transversal; la aplicación de una encuesta de 47 ítems a estudiantes y, una entrevista de 17 preguntas a docentes de investigación, permitieron constatar que los estudiantes presentan problemas para el desarrollo de un informe investigativo. Aproximadamente el 80% de los estudiantes no tienen formación investigativa (capacitaciones, talleres, seminarios), desde un punto de vista autodidacta, lo que pone de manifiesto el nivel de compromiso académico, en esta línea, los docentes coinciden en que ¨los estudiantes no se capacitan¨; por otra parte, el 85% de los estudiantes encuestados demuestran dificultades para desarrollar los diferentes alcances de una investigación, lo que se alinea con la percepción docente, quienes afirman que los estudiantes se enfocan en investigaciones descriptivas. En cuanto al uso de softwares (SPSS, Atlas Ti, entre otros), para el análisis de datos cualitativos o cuantitativos, el 75% de estudiantes seleccionan escalas entre ¨nunca y ¨a veces¨, dando a conocer una gran dificultad, la misma que es corroborada por los docentes que dictan la cátedra de investigación. | Descripción : | The research competitiveness of students in higher education is important because it is the axis of professional, social and personal development of each individual. Likewise, these competencies allow the generation of scientific knowledge through different research reports that they contribute to the academy. This work sought to elucidate the research reality of the students of pedagogical careers at the National University of Loja through some results obtained from the self-perception of the students and teachers. The macro objective of the research was to determine the level of procedural investigative skills of the students in question, for the development of a research report and to analytically compare the results. The methodology used responded to a mixed approach of non-experimental and transversal design; The application of a 47-item survey to students and a 17-question interview with research teachers made it possible to verify that students present problems in developing an investigative report. Approximately 80% of the students are not trained in research training (trainings, workshops, seminars), from a self-taught point of view, which highlights the level of academic commitment. Along these lines, the teachers agree "the students are not they get trained¨; On the other hand, 85% of the students surveyed demonstrate difficulties in developing the different scopes of an investigation, which is aligned with the teaching perception, since they affirm that students do not try to go beyond descriptive investigations.
