| Resumen : | La infección genital por virus papiloma humano, es una enfermedad de transmisión sexual más frecuentes en la actualidad, tener conocimiento de esta patología y saber que puede causar lesiones benignas y malignas, es de gran importancia. Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivos: determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre Virus Papiloma Humano e identificar el tipo de prácticas preventivas realizadas por los estudiantes de primero a tercero de bachillerato de la sección nocturna de la unidad educativa Santiago Fernández García de la ciudad de Cariamanga y establecer si existe relación entre estas variables. Fue un estudio cuantitativo con diseño descriptivo, correlacional, de corte transversal, conformada por una muestra de 103 estudiantes entre 14 a 20 años de dicha institución educativa, se , la información recolectada fue tabulada mediante el programa Microsoft Excel y análisis mediante la prueba de asociación estadística Chi Cuadrado de Pearson, valiéndonos del programa (SPSS) con un valor de p =0.05. Los datos obtenidos se demostró que aproximadamente el 33.9% presentó un nivel de conocimiento bajo sobre el virus del papiloma humano, el tipo de prácticas fueron de alto riesgo en un 56,86%, y demostró que si existe relación estadística entre las dos variables con un valor de p=0.00,concluyendo que existe limitada educación sobre el virus de papiloma humano en los adolescentes de la dicha institución educativa por tal motivo es urgente tomar acciones intersectoriales que podrían incidir positivamente en la resolución de este problema. | Descripción : | Genital human papillomavirus infection is a more frequent sexually transmitted disease today, having knowledge of this pathology and knowing that it can cause benign and malignant lesions is of great importance. This research work had as Objectives: determine the level of knowledge about Human Papilloma Virus and identify the type of preventive practices carried out by students from first to third year of high school of the night section of the Santiago Fernández García educational unit in the city of Cariamanga and establish if there is a relationship between these variables. It was a quantitative study with a descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional design, made up of a sample of 103 students between 14 and 20 years of age from said educational institution, the information collected was tabulated using the Microsoft Excel program and analysis using the association test Pearson's Chi Square statistic, using the program (SPSS) with a value of p = 0.05.The data obtained showed that approximately 33.9% presented a low level of knowledge about the human papillomavirus, the type of practices were high risk in 56.86%, and it showed that if there is a statistical relationship between the two variables with a value of p = 0.00, concluding that there is limited education on the human papillomavirus in adolescents of the said educational institution, for this reason it is urgent to take intersectoral actions that could positively influence the resolution of this problem Keywords: knowledge, practice, human papillomavirus |
