Resumen : La presente investigación se la realizó en la parroquia Guachanamá, cantón Paltas de la provincia de Loja tendiente a contribuir a la preservación de los recursos hídricos y sustentabilidad de los recursos naturales. Los objetivos que permitieron obtener los resultados fueron: Efectuar un diagnostico situacional en la parroquia Guachanamá, para el diseño de un vivero forestal, establecer las bases técnicas para el diseño de un vivero forestal con plantas nativas y socializar los resultados de investigación con los pobladores de la parroquia Guachanamá. En cuanto a metodología se utilizó el método inductivo que permitió el levantamiento de información mediante la técnica de la observación, el método deductivo a través de las técnicas de la encuesta y observación nos permitió conocer el nivel de aceptación por parte de los habitantes de la parroquia Guachanamá y el método analítico nos ayudó a sistematizar la información obtenida a través de la encuesta dirigida a los habitantes de la parroquia Guachanamá, mismo que nos facilitó verificar el nivel de conocimientos que tienen los habitantes del sobre las especies vegetales nativas y la aceptación para la implementación del vivero forestal. La población tomada para la presente investigación fue un segmento (personas adultas) de una población total de 2.602 habitantes, cuya muestra es de 157. Con la implementación de la técnica de la encuesta y observación se obtuvo información referente a la situación del entorno en el ámbito social, ambiental y económico. Los resultados señalan que, el 11% de la población indica que posee conocimiento sobre el diseño de un vivero forestal, en tanto que el 89% desconoce o tiene conocimiento limitados sobre el tema del diseño de viveros. El 73% dice que aumentado la deforestación, seguido del 19% se conserva y el 8% ha disminuido. El 90% nunca ha participado en programas del cuidado del medio ambiente, el 8% a veces y el 1% siempre. El 83% de las vertientes se encuentran en mal estado, 10% en buen estado, 8% regular estado. El 73% de la población de las familias si conocen cuales son las plantas nativas de la parroquia, seguido del 27% no sabe de su existencia. En la parroquia Guachanamá existen las siguientes especies, 65% laurel, 43% aliso, 23% cedro, 13% sauce, 6% zango – zango, 4% guato, 3% arabisco. El 100% de habitantes de la parroquia Guachanamá están de acuerdo que se implemente el vivero forestal. Los habitantes de la parroquia Guachanamá conscientes de que ha aumentado notablemente la deforestación, consideran importante la implementación del Vivero Forestal, comprometiéndose a participar activamente en cada una de las etapas para su ejecución, mismo que ayudará a la protección del medio ambiente y de esta manera continuar con la conservación de vertientes hídricas del lugar. Se recomienda involucrar activamente a las autoridades locales y cantonales para que promuevan la importancia sobre la conservación, siembra y uso de las plantas nativas, a través de proyectos de preservación del medio ambiente y así garantizar la buena calidad de los habitantes del sector.
Descripción : This research was carried out in the Guachanamá parish, Paltas canton of the province of Loja tending to contribute to the preservation of water resources and the sustainability of natural resources. The objectives were: To carry out a situational diagnosis in the Guachanamá parish, to design a forest nursery, to establish the technical bases for the design of a forest nursery with native plants and to socialize the research results with the inhabitants of The Guachanamá parish. In terms of methodology, we used the inductive method that allowed information to be collected through the observation technique. The deductive method through survey and observation techniques allowed us to know the level of acceptance by the inhabitants of the parish Guachanamá and the analytical method helped us to systematize the information obtained through the survey directed to the inhabitants of the Guachanamá parish, which facilitated us to verify the level of knowledge that the inhabitants have about the native plant species and the acceptance for the Implementation of the forest nursery. The population taken for the present investigation was a segment (adults) of a total population of 2,602 inhabitants, whose sample is 157. The inhabitants of the Guachanamá parish, aware that there has been a significant increase in deforestation, consider the implementation of the Forest Nursery important, committing themselves to participate actively in each of the stages for their execution, which will help to protect the environment and in this way Continue with the conservation of water slopes of the place. It is recommended to actively involve local and cantonal authorities to promote the importance of conservation, planting and use of native plants, through projects to preserve the environment and thus ensure the good quality of the inhabitants of the sector.
