| Resumen : | La insuficiente comunicación e información, la ineficacia en la tramitación de documentos, la falta de medios tecnológicos y herramientas de apoyo para el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, en particular para la capacitación docente, motivaron este trabajo de investigación que tuvo como objetivo el estudio de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en las actividades académico-administrativas que desarrollan los docentes, estudiantes y administrativos en la Carrera de Contabilidad y Auditoría, Modalidad de Estudios a Distancia del Área Jurídica, Social y Administrativa de la Universidad Nacional de Loja, para el efecto se aplicaron los métodos generales de investigación inductivo-deductivo y analíticosintético, donde se analizó y dividió el objeto de estudio en partes, lo que permitió dilucidar los hechos reales; causas y efectos de la problemática, para posteriormente organizar e interpretar los datos empíricos, mientras que el método descriptivo orientó el relato de los acontecimientos. Las técnicas de la observación y la encuesta, con cuestionarios personalizados, fueron los instrumentos para recopilar la información sobre acontecimientos y aspectos subjetivos de los protagonistas: actividades, creencias y actitudes, opiniones, conocimiento del uso de internet y otras tecnologías que conforman las NTIC. Para el procesamiento de los datos, fue conveniente manejar la herramienta estadística SPSS 15.0, la cual trabajó con tres bases de datos correspondientes a estudiantes, docentes y administrativos. En atención a la naturaleza del objeto de estudio, se manejó la metodología cuantitativa y cualitativa con la finalidad de analizar la incidencia de las NTIC en las actividades académicas y administrativas, obtener información relevante de las encuestas, cuyos resultados, organizados por categorías, variables e indicadores, fueron representados y analizados con la estadística descriptiva que, a la vez, facilitó la elaboración de tablas de frecuencias y representaciones gráficas en porcentajes. Los principales resultados del estudio demuestran que la categoría: Uso de tecnología no cumple el objetivo propuesto para la revisión y seguimiento de actividades académicas, así como para las labores administrativas, criterio que lo comparte el 79% de docentes y el 94% del personal administrativo. De esta manera, los principales resultados del estudio demostraron: La falta de uso y conocimiento de nuevas tecnologías de la información y comunicación por estudiantes y servidores administrativos, los medios que se emplean no son suficientes, no facilitan el seguimiento y la mejor atención al estudiante, falta de capacitación docente con nuevas tecnologías para apoyar el proceso enseñanzaaprendizaje; por lo tanto, la limitada utilización de los medios tecnológicos no permiten un óptimo desarrollo de las actividades académico-administrativas. Al término de la investigación, las conclusiones conllevan al establecimiento de falencias, ya que la falta de uso y conocimiento de las nuevas tecnologías por el personal docente y administrativo, influye también en los estudiantes, tanto en la forma de desarrollar las diferentes actividades en el plano académico-administrativo como en la escasa capacitación de la comunidad educativa; también se suman otros factores de tipo organizacional que obstaculizan el emprendimiento de programas de capacitación continua para mejorar las habilidades y destrezas en el manejo de NTIC. | Descripción : | The insufficient communication and information, the inefficacy in the procedure of documents, the lack of technological means and support tools for the process teaching-learning, in particular for the educational training, they motivated this investigation work that had as objective the study of the new technologies of the information and the communication in the academic-administrative activities that develop the educational ones, students and administrative in the Career of Accounting and Audit, Modality of Studies at Distance of the Law, Social and Administrative Area of the National University of Loja, for the effect the inductivedeductive and analytic-synthetic general methods of investigation were applied, where it was analyzed and it divided the study object in parts, what allowed to elucidate the real facts; you cause and goods of the problem, for later on to organize and to interpret the empiric data, while the descriptive method guided the story of the events. The techniques of the observation and the survey, with custom questionnaires, they were the instruments to gather the information it has more than enough events and the main characters subjective aspects: activities, beliefs and attitudes, opinions, knowledge of the internet use and other technologies that the NTIC conforms. For the prosecution of the data, it was convenient to manage the statistical tool SPSS 15.0, which worked with three databases corresponding to students, educational and administrative. In attention to the nature of the study object, the quantitative and qualitative methodology was managed with the purpose of analyzing the incidence of the NTIC in the academic and administrative activities, to obtain outstanding information of the surveys, whose results, organized by categories, variables and indicators, were represented and analyzed with the descriptive statistic that, at the same time, it facilitated the elaboration of charts of frequencies and graphic representations in percentages. The main results of the study demonstrate that the category: Technology use doesn't complete the objective proposed for the revision and pursuit of academic activities, as well as for the administrative works, approach that shares it 79% of educational and 94% of the executive staff. This way, the main results of the study demonstrated: The nonuse and knowledge of new technologies of the information and communication for students and administrative servants, the means that are used are not enough, they don't facilitate the pursuit and the best attention to the student, lack of educational training with new technologies to support the process teaching-learning; therefore, the limited use of the technological means doesn't allow a good development of the academicadministrative activities. At the end of the investigation, the summations bear to the errors establishment, since the nonuse and knowledge of the new technologies for the educational and administrative personnel it also influences in the students, so much in the form of developing the different activities in the academic-administrative plane as in the scarce training of the educational community; also sink other factors of organizational type that they block the execution of programs of continuous training to improve the abilities and dexterities in the handling of NTIC.
