| dc.description | Physical, psychological or sexual violence against girls, boys and adolescents constitutes one of the main factors that interfere with the development of this age group. This public health problem continues to be present in society, under precepts that normalize and make it invisible, and In many cases they leave her unpunished. The present investigation is about the prevalence of gender violence in adolescents of the Paltas canton, for this the present analyzes this situation and denotes the existence of gender violence, it is a study with a descriptive, analytical and cutting approach. cross-sectional, in a non-probabilistic population sample of 91 adolescents to whom a survey was applied, resulting in 23% of young people in Paltas stating that they had been victims of gender violence on at least one occasion throughout their lives. their adolescence between the ages of 11 to 19 years. The type of violence that occurs most frequently is psychological, physical and verbal, with the home being the place where they most frequently suffer violence. In this way, it is concluded that there is a significant prevalence of this problem in the region, a situation that requires timely comprehensive attention that requires actions to prevent gender violence in adolescents. | dc.description.abstract | El principal factor que influye en el desarrollo de este grupo etario es la violencia física, mental o sexual contra niñas, niños y adolescentes. Este problema de salud pública continúa existiendo en la sociedad bajo lineamientos que lo normalizan, lo invisibilizan y, en muchos casos, permiten que quede impune. La presente investigación se centra en la prevalencia de la violencia de género entre los jóvenes del cantón de Paltas, analiza esta situación y muestra la existencia de violencia de género. Este estudio utilizó métodos descriptivos, analíticos y transversales, con una muestra no probabilística de 91 jóvenes participantes en la encuesta, resultando que el 23% de los jóvenes de Paltas dijeron haber sido víctimas de violencia de género al menos una vez durante la adolescencia entre las edades de 11 y 19 años. Las formas más comunes de violencia son de tipo psicológico, físico, verbal y el hogar es donde más sufren la violencia los adolescentes. Con base en esto, es posible extraer conclusiones sobre la importante prevalencia de este problema en la región, situación que requiere atención integral y oportuna, así como la aplicación de medidas de prevención de la violencia por razones de género entre los jóvenes. Para dar cumplimiento se coordinó con las autoridades pertinentes del cantón Paltas, para implementar medidas que contribuyan a la erradicación de la violencia de género entre los jóvenes | es_ES |
