| dc.description | Herpes Simplex type 1 (HSV-1) is a nuclear replicating enveloped virus, usually acquired through direct contact with infected lesions (typically saliva), belonging to the herpesviridiae family, this type of lesions are asymptomatic and after the incubation period are characterized by blistering vesicle lesions that increase progressively from childhood, especially in children 6 months to 5 years of age, therefore giving rise to a spectrum of clinical manifestations that concern the development of a primary herpetic Gingivostomatitis for which it is distributed endemically throughout the world. In most cases of infections, outpatient treatment is sufficient, but hospital admission may be warranted if the patient develops complications. The following bibliographical study was carried out with the objective of publicizing the treatment therapies for Herpes Simplex type 1 infection in pediatric patients. The type of study was documentary, descriptive, and analytical, in which the sample consisted of 45 scientific articles in English and Spanish, under the inclusion and exclusion criteria obtained from the PubMed, Elsevier and academic Google databases, which were organized and analyzed according to the stated objectives. It was possible to identify that the most efficient therapy against an infection caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 in children is acyclovir, in addition, it was shown that the ideal dose of acyclovir in pediatric patients is 20 mg/kg 3 times a day | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El Herpes Simple tipo 1 (HSV-1) es un virus cubierto de replicación nuclear, generalmente adquirido a través del contacto directo con lesiones infectadas (típicamente la saliva), perteneciente a la familia herpesviridiae, este tipo de lesiones son asintomáticas que posteriormente al periodo de incubación se caracterizan por presentar lesiones vesículo ampollosas que aumentan progresivamente desde la infancia, especialmente en niños de 6 meses a 5 años de edad, por consiguiente da lugar a un espectro de manifestaciones clínicas que conciernen al desarrollo de una Gingivoestomatitis herpética primaria para la cual se distribuye de forma endémica en todo el mundo. En la mayor parte de los casos las infecciones el tratamiento ambulatorio es suficiente, pero puede estar justificado el ingreso hospitalario si el paciente desarrolla complicaciones. El siguiente estudio bibliográfico se realizó con el objetivo de dar a conocer las terapias de tratamiento de la infección por Herpes Simple tipo 1 en pacientes pediátricos. El tipo de estudio fue documental, descriptivo, y analítico, en el cual la muestra estuvo constituida por 45 artículos científicos en inglés y español, bajo los criterios de inclusión y exclusión obtenidos de la base de dados PubMed, Elsevier y Google académico, los cuales fueron organizados y analizados según los objetivos planteados. Se logró identificar que la terapia más eficiente frente a una infección causada por el virus del herpes simple tipo 1 en niños es el aciclovir, además, se evidenció que la dosis ideal del aciclovir en pacientes pediátricos es 20 mg/kg 3 veces al día | es_ES |
