| dc.description | In recent years, Higher Education Institutions (IES), through Websites, make use of the Internet to provide information, whether educational or informative. However, when developing these Web portals, not all users are taken into consideration, which leads to Web accessibility problems, bringing with it computer barriers that prevent all types of users from reaching the information or service provided In this DW, the following research question is posed. Making an evaluation on the Web portal of the Universities in the city of Loja, will help to identify an accessibility level and raise awareness of the IES variables about the use and implementation of accessibility guidelines Web?. The present DW was developed at the UNL jointly with the collaboration of the UTI of this institution, dividing the project into three phases. It begans with the development of a Literature System Review (RSL) based on the Barbara Kitchenham Protocol, which complied with the first phase, resulting in the selection of 8 primary studies, whose main findings allowed establishing the current state of international and local Web accessibility and the different characteristics that must meet the Web portals to be considered accessible. For the fulfillment of the second phase, an evaluation of the UTPL, UIDE and UNL Web portal was carried out in which different semi-automatic tools such as AuditTool WCAG 2.0 were used that contributed to evaluate the different criteria contemplated in the AA level of the guidelines of accessibility of the standard established in Ecuadorian legislation. In this way, it was determined that none of the Web portals of the IES of the city of Loja that were evaluated meet the current regulations in Ecuador on Web accessibility. However, it could also be concluded that through the transfer of knowledge and the correction of the errors found in the evaluations could significantly increase the level of Web accessibility. Thus, also complying with the third phase of the project; as future work, it is recommended to incorporate information on Web usability, which is a complement to Web accessibility, with which you can make more compressible Websites for users. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En los últimos años las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES), mediante sitios Web hacen uso de la Internet para proporcionar información, ya sea de ámbito educativo como informativo. Sin embargo, al realizar el desarrollo de estos portales Web no se tiene en consideración a todos los usuarios que harán uso de estos, por lo que acarrea problemas de accesibilidad Web, trayendo consigo barreras informáticas las cuales impiden llegar a todo tipo de usuario con la información o servicio brindado. En el presente TT se planteó la siguiente pregunta de investigación ¿Realizar una evaluación al portal Web de las Universidades de la ciudad de Loja, ayudará a identificar su nivel de accesibilidad y, generar conciencia a dichas IES sobre el uso y su implementación de las pautas de accesibilidad Web? El presente TT se lo desarrolló en la UNL conjuntamente con la colaboración de la UTI de esta institución, dividiendo el proyecto en tres fases. Se dio inicio con el desarrollo de una Revisión Sistema de Literatura (RSL) en base al protocolo de Bárbara Kitchenham, la cual cumplió con la primera fase, resultando en la selección de 8 estudios primarios, cuyos principales hallazgos permitieron establecer el estado actual de la accesibilidad Web internacional como local y las diferentes características que deben cumplir los portales Web para ser considerado accesibles. Para el cumplimiento de la segunda fase, se realizó una evaluación del portal Web de la UTPL, UIDE y UNL en la cual se utilizó diferentes herramientas semiautomáticas como AuditTool WCAG 2.0 que contribuyeron para evaluar los diferentes criterios contemplados en el nivel AA de las pautas de accesibilidad del estándar establecido en la legislación ecuatoriana. De esta manera se determinó que ninguno de los portales Web de las IES de la ciudad de Loja que fueron evaluados cumplen con la normativa vigente en Ecuador sobre accesibilidad Web, sin embargo, también se ultimó que mediante la transferencia de conocimientos y la corrección de los errores encontrados en las evaluaciones se aumentó considerablemente el nivel de accesibilidad Web, cumpliendo también así con la tercera fase del proyecto; como trabajo futuro se recomienda incorporar información sobre usabilidad Web, que es un complemento de la accesibilidad Web, con la cual se puede realizar sitios Web más compresibles para los usuarios | es_ES |
