| Resumen : | En la actualidad tanto las adicciones psicoactivas como las comportamentales se han incrementado, entre ellas el tabaquismo que es un problema de salud pública, en nuestro país y en nuestra localidad ocupa el segundo puesto después del alcohol, y su consumo inicia entre los doce y catorce años, frente a este problema se propone el Proyecto Estudio de las Adicciones en la Región Sur del Ecuador y dentro del mismo la tesis EL CONSUMO DE CIGARRILLO Y SU INCIDENCIA EN LAS RELACIONES FAMILIARES DE LOS MORADORES DEL BARRIO PERPETUO SOCORRO DE LA CIUDAD DE LOJA. PERÍODO 2011-2012, su objetivo general es: desarrollar un estudio descriptivo y bibliográfico sobre la adicción al cigarrillo y su incidencia en las relaciones familiares; y, sus específicos: identificar las adicciones de mayor prevalencia en los moradores del Barrio Perpetuo Socorro de la ciudad de Loja, determinar los factores que desencadenan adicción; y, determinar si la adicción al cigarrillo incide en las relaciones familiares. Se aplicó el Método Científico respaldado por los métodos inductivo-deductivo; analítico-sintético y descriptivo durante todo el proceso para relacionar el tema, problemática, objetivos, marco teórico y procesar la información obtenida hasta llegar a las conclusiones y recomendaciones. Se aplicó la encuesta a 40 moradores del barrio Perpetuo Socorro de la ciudad de Loja seleccionados al azar, se empleó la Estadística Descriptiva para calcular los porcentajes, organizar las matrices de frecuencias y realizar el análisis cuanti-cualitativo y llegar a las siguientes conclusiones: Las adicciones de mayor prevalencia, son el alcoholismo y el tabaquismo; sí hay familiares con adicción al alcohol como también conocen casos de personas adultas con problemas de adicción. El factor de mayor influencia en el desarrollo de adicciones es el familiar; por tanto si hay incidencia entre el consumo de cigarrillo y las relaciones familiares. |

PERIOD 2011-2012, its overall objective is to develop a descriptive and bibliographical study of cigarette addiction and its impact on family relationships; and their specific: identify the most prevalent addictions among the inhabitants of the District of Perpetual Help Loja, identify factors that trigger addiction; and determine whether cigarette addiction affects family relationships. The scientific method supported by the inductive and deductive methods are applied; descriptive and analytic-synthetic throughout the process to relate the topic, problem, objectives, theoretical framework and process information obtained up to the conclusions and recommendations. Survey to 40 residents of the neighborhood Perpetuo Socorro city of Loja, randomly selected, descriptive statistics were used to calculate percentages, frequency matrices organize and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to reach the following conclusions: The most prevalent addictions are alcohol and smoking; yes there is a family with alcohol addiction as well known cases of adults with addiction problems.
