| Resumen : | El presente proyecto de investigación, cuyo tema es el “Diagnóstico de la problemática del embarazo en adolescentes en la ciudad de Loja”, en el cual se establecieron propósitos en base a tres aspectos: conocimiento, profesión y experiencia. Consecutivamente se empleó el método investigación-acción y técnicas, como: arcoíris, el árbol de causas y efectos, el árbol de medios y fines y las entrevistas que permitieron estar en contacto con los actores principales y la problemática tratada, siendo estas herramientas útiles para obtener información real y cualitativa de manera relevante y directa de autoridades e instituciones locales. Estableciendo estrategias que contribuyan a reducir el embarazo a temprana edad y promoviendo una concienciación y orientación sexual adecuada. En efecto, en la ciudad de Loja, el tratar temas sobre salud sexual y reproductiva se sigue considerando como un tabú, por lo que se recomienda que tanto en el ambiente familiar como en el ambiente educativo e institucional se implementen campañas que generen una mayor concienciación en los adolescentes, mejorando su educación sexual, la cual esté dirigida y encaminada a la reducción de esta problemática.
