| Resumen : | El objetivo del presente Trabajo de Integración Curricular fue implementar la intervención neuropsicológica para estimular las funciones cognitivas de percepción, atención y memoria en adultos mayores con estado cognitivo normal y leve del centro diurno CAMVIL, 2022-2023. Se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo de corte transversal, diseño preexperimental con evaluación pre y post-test aplicado a un grupo estudio y un grupo control de adultos mayores, de tipo descriptivo, utilizando principalmente los métodos hipotético-deductivo y estadístico. Para cumplir con su objetivo se aplicó el test Neuropsi Breve para conocer los niveles de percepción, atención y memoria y el Mini-mental test para determinar el estado cognitivo de 13 adultos mayores de los cuales 6 individuos conformaron el grupo estudio y 7 el grupo control. Los resultados principales permitieron evidenciar que luego de la ejecución de la intervención a través de un programa neuropsicológico dirigido al grupo estudio de adultos mayores con estado cognitivo normal y leve demostró una diferencia significativa en comparación de los adultos mayores del grupo control. Esta eficacia fue comprobada a través de la Prueba U de Mann-Whitney que al ser aplicada a los resultados post-test del instrumento Mini Mental Test arrojó un valor de significancia asintotica igual a 0.041 y al aplicar esta prueba estadisitca a los resultados post-test del test Neuropsi Breve arrojó un valor de significancia asintotica de 0.04. En los dos casos la significancia asintotica es ≤ 0.05 por lo que se acepta la hipotesis general de la investigación denominada “Los adultos mayores con estado cognitivo normal y leve que participan en la intervención neuropsicológica para estimular las funciones cognitivas de atención, memoria y percepción presentaran un buen desempeño de estas funciones, que los adultos mayores del grupo de control.” Palabras Clave: Intervención neuropsicológica, funciones cognitivas, estimulación cognitiva, deterioro cognitivo |
| Descripción : | The objective of this Curricular Integration Work was to implement the neuropsychological intervention to stimulate the cognitive functions of perception, attention and memory in older adults with normal and mild cognitive status at the CAMVIL centro diurno, 2022-2023. The cross-sectional quantitative approach was used , a pre-experimental design with pre- and post-test was applied to a study group and a control group of older adults, of a descriptive type, using mainly hypothetical-deductive and statistical methods. To meet its objective, the Brief Neuropsi test was applied to determine the levels of perception, attention and memory and the Mini-mental test to determine the cognitive state of 13 older adults, of whom 6 individuals formed the study group and 7 the control group. The main results made possible to show that after the execution of the intervention through a neuropsychological program directed to the study group of older adults with normal and mild cognitive status, a significant difference compared to the older adults in the control group was demonstrated. This efficacy was verified through the Mann-Whitney U Test. which, when applied to the post-test results of the Mini Mental Test instrument, yielded an asymptotic significance value equal to 0.041, and when applying this statistical test to the post-test results of the Brief Neuropsi test, yielded an asymptotic significance value of 0.04. In both cases, the asymptotic significance is ≤ 0.05, thus the general hypothesis of the research was accepted, which stated that "Older adults with normal and mild cognitive status who participate in neuropsychological intervention to stimulate the cognitive functions of attention, memory and perception present ran a good performance of these functions, than the older adults in the control group.” Keywords: neuropsychological intervention, cognitive functions, cognitive stimulation, cognitive impairment |
