| Resumen : | En esta investigación se elaboró una tabla de la cronometría dentaria dividida en tres categorías: desde el nacimiento hasta el año de edad; desde el año de edad hasta los 2 años; y, desde los 2 años en adelante, además se identificó el peso vivo en cada categoría elaborando una curva de crecimiento en machos y hembras. Se utilizaron 154 unidades experimentales (UE) de raza Chusca distribuidos en 14 categorías de edad para facilitar su estudio. Se identificaron los dientes incisivos en cada unidad experimental y se procedió a calcular la edad de acuerdo al tipo de diente (deciduo o permanente), número de dientes presentes y según el rasgo de desgaste y por último se realizó el pesaje de cada animal. La información de campo fue analizada y tabulada dando como resultado que en la primera categoría al nacimiento no presentan dientes incisivos, a los 2 – 2,5 meses ya poseen boca llena, el desgaste se produce a partir de los 7 meses y de los 10 a 12 meses empieza el cambio de las pinzas deciduas a permanentes; en la segunda categoría las pinzas ya están completas, los 1° Medios empiezan a brotar desde los 18 meses y a los 2 años aún están en crecimiento; en la tercera categoría a los 30 meses 1° medios están completos, a los 42 meses están completos los 2° medios y a los 54 meses se completa la dentadura con los extremos e inicia el desgaste de los incisivos. En tanto al peso vivo al nacimiento es de 2,3 kg; 3 a 4 meses (época de destete) 9 y 11 kg; al año de edad 27,9 kg; a los 2 años de 33,9 kg; 3 años de 43,4 kg, para luego en los siguientes años alcanzar pesos que van desde los 45,2 kg (4 años) hasta los 47,9 kg (7 años). Se concluye que la cabra Chusca presenta el nacimiento y desarrollo de su dentadura incisiva un tanto tardía en comparación a la bibliografía consultada y que el mayor incremento de peso vivo se da al primer año de edad pese al poco manejo técnico y extensivo que reciben. | Descripción : | In this research, a table of dental chronometry divided into three categories was developed: from birth to one year of age; from one year of age to 2 years; and, from 2 years onwards, the live weight was also identified in each category by developing a growth curve in males and females. 154 Chusca breed UEs distributed in 14 age categories were used to facilitate their study. While the live weight at birth is 2.3 kg; 3 to 4 months (weaning time) 9 and 11 kg; at one year of age 27.9 kg; at 2 years of 33.9 kg; 3 years of 43.4 kg, and then in the following years reach weights that range from 45.2 kg (4 years of age) to 47.9 kg (7 years of age). It is concluded that the Chusca goat presents the birth and development of its incisor teeth somewhat late compared to the bibliography consulted and that the greatest increase in live weight occurs at the first year of age despite the little technical and extensive management they receive.
