Resumen : Las áreas protegidas han sido reconocidas como la principal estrategia para la conservación de la biodiversidad. Al mismo tiempo, estas áreas contribuyen al bienestar humano, puesto que ayudan a conservar los recursos naturales y a mantener los servicios ambientales que sustentan la vida de millones de personas. Según el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas, cerca de un 17% del territorio se encuentra bajo alguna de las seis categorías oficiales de protección: Parque Nacional, Reserva Ecológica, Reserva Biológica, Área de Nacional de Recreación, Reserva Geobotánica y Área de Producción de Fauna. Otro gran porcentaje del territorio se encuentra dentro de la categoría de Bosque Protector, que generalmente es de carácter privado. Hay cerca de 100 de estas unidades en el país, consideradas como áreas de manejo especial. Las categorías de manejo del Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas son extensas regiones donde, por la fragilidad de los ecosistemas y su importancia económica y social, se toman medidas de atención y coordinación de carácter estructural, a nivel nacional, para el logro de objetivos de conservación y desarrollo sostenible. Todas estas características hacen del Ecuador y principalmente de la provincia de Loja, un destino turístico con grandes potencialidades para desarrollar un turismo de naturaleza y aventura. El proyecto denominado “Propuesta de Senderización y Señalización del Cerro Mandango de la parroquia Rural de Vilcabamba, Cantón Loja, Provincia de Loja” es una iniciativa considerada con la finalidad de contribuir con el progreso y desarrollo de la actividad turística del lugar antes mencionado. Como objetivo general se planteó elaborar una propuesta de senderización y señalización del cerro Mandango de la Parroquia Rural de Vilcabamba, Cantón Loja, Provincia de Loja, y para su cumplimiento se han planteado tres objetivos específicos como: Diagnóstico de la situación actual del cerro Mandango, Diseñar la propuesta de senderización y señalética para el cerro Mandango, Elaborar una guía de recorrido y socializar resultados con los actores involucrados. Para el desarrollo consecuente de los objetivos fue necesaria la aplicación de métodos y técnicas, así para el primer objetivo se empleó la técnica de observación directa, así mismo se elaboró una matriz de diagnóstico turístico de Carla Ricaurte Quijano ajustándola a la realidad de la parroquia en estudio y finalmente se realizó fichas de los sitios estratégicos del cerro Mandango, para obtener datos específicos como, categoría, tipo, subtipo, localidad, y características de cada uno de los atractivos naturales existentes en el lugar. Para el desarrollo del segundo objetivo se utilizó el método analítico - sintético y deductivo que ayudó a detallar las descripciones técnicas para la elaboración de letreros, para lo cual se propone la creación de ocho tótems de información en diferentes lugares del recorrido. También se utilizó la técnica de la entrevista misma que fue aplicada al Lic. Adalber Gahona presidente del GAD parroquial de Vilcabamba para analizar la situación actual del cerro Mandango. Así mismo se determinó la capacidad de carga Física, Real y Efectiva para obtener el resultados de visitas al cerro. Y finalmente se implementó la técnica del análisis FODA, resultado que permitió establecer estrategias de desarrollo turístico que van en beneficio de la parroquia. Finalmente para la realización del tercer objetivo se utilizó el método inductivo, para la elaboración de la guía de recorrido, y posteriormente se socializó los resultados de la elaboración del proyecto con el Lic. Adalber Gahona presidente del GAD Parroquial de Vilcabamba donde recalco la importancia de esta propuesta para aumentar el turismo y sobretodo cuidar el medio ambiente. Se concluye que el cerro Mandango es un mirador natural apropiado para realizar ecoturismo y que el tipo de construcción de la señalización es adecuada a la zona de estudio, basada en el manual de Señalización Turística, elaborada por el Ministerio de Turismo del Ecuador. También se plantearon recomendaciones que están dirigidas al Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado de la Parroquia Vilcabamba, realizar la debida promoción de este atractivo, capacitando a las personas en temas de turismo que beneficien a esta actividad y concientizar el cuidado y mantenimiento de estas áreas naturales.
Descripción : The protected areas have been recognized as the main strategy for the conservation of the biodiversity. At the same time, these areas contribute to human well-being, since they help to conserve natural resources and to support the environmental services that sustain the life of millions of people. According to the National System of Protected Areas of Ecuador Near of 17% of the territory is under one of the six official categories of protection: National Park, Ecological Reservation, Biological Reservation, Native`s Area of Recreation, Geo-botanical Reservation and Area of Production of Fauna. Another great percentage of the territory is inside the category of Protective Forest, that generally it is of a private nature. There are near 100 of these units in the country, considered as areas of special managing. The categories of the national protected areas management system are wide regions where because of the ecosystems fragility and its economic and social importance measures of structural meaning and coordination were considered with special importance at national level with the purpose of reaching the sustainable and development objectives. All of these characteristics have made Ecuador and mainly the province of Loja a tourist destination with great potentialities to development a nature and adventure tourism. This project is entitled " Proposal and Signaling and natural patting of Mandango Hill located in Vilcabamba rural parish, Loja canton, Loja province" it is an initiative that is consider with the purpose to contribute to the progress and development of the tourist activity in the above mentioned place. As general objective it was considered to develop a proposal of natural patting and signaling of Mandango hill which is located in the Rural parish of Vilcabamba, Loja Canton, province of Loja, and for its implementation have been posed three specific objectives such as: to diagnose of the current situation of Mandango hill , to design natural pathing and signage proposal for Mandango hill , to prepare a guide of travel and to socialize results with the involved people. For the consistent development of objectives it was necessary the application of methods and techniques. For the first goal it was used the direct observation technique, also it was developed a tourist diagnostic matrix of Carla Ricaurte Quijano adapting it to the reality of the parish in study and finally it was made records in strategic sites of Mandango hill such as, category, type, subtype, location, and characteristics of each one of the existing on-site natural attractions. For the development of the second objective it was used the analytical - synthetic and deductive method. It helped to detail the technical descriptions for the elaboration of signs, for this purpose it was proposed the creation of eight totems of information in different places of the tour. Moreover it was used a survey it was applied to licentiate Adalber Gahona President of GAD located in Vilcabamba parish the main purpose of it was to analyze the current situation of the Mandango hill. At the same way it was determined physical, real and effective load capacity to obtain the number of visitors to the Hill. And finally it was implemented the SWOT technique, this result allowed us to establish strategies for the tourism development, these strategies will benefit the parish. Finally, to achieve the third objective, the inductive method was used in order to prepare the travel guide, and the results of the project elaboration were subsequently socialized with the licentiate Adalber Gahona President of GAD, located in Vilcabamba parish in these meeting it was highlighted the importance of this proposal to increase the tourism and above all the importance in taking care the environment. To conclude the Mandango hill is a natural viewpoint suitable for ecotourism and its type signaling construction it is appropriate to the area of study based on the manual of tourist signs prepared by the Ministry of tourism of Ecuador. Also there were considered recommendations that are directed to the decentralized autonomous Government of Vilcabamba parish, in order to make the appropriate promotion of this attraction, as well training people on issues of tourism that will benefit this activity and awareness the care and maintenance of these natural areas.
