| Resumen : | La salud sexual y reproductiva es fundamental para las personas, las parejas y las familias, así como para el desarrollo social y económico de las comunidades y naciones, implica el poder disfrutar de una vida sexual satisfactoria, segura y responsable, así como la capacidad de la pareja para reproducirse y la libertad de decidir cuándo y con qué frecuencia, y la Salud Sexual es un proceso permanente de consecución de bienestar físico, psicológico y sociocultural relacionado con la sexualidad. La siguiente investigación se desarrolló en el colegio matutino Calasanz, con el propósito de determinar los conocimientos sobre salud sexual y reproductiva que tienen los estudiantes de dicha institución. El universo constó de 850 estudiantes, la muestra de 255 alumnos que corresponden al 30% de la población total entre hombres y mujeres que se encuentran cursando sus estudios en este colegio. La investigación fue descriptiva y el instrumento para la recolección de la información fue la encuesta que estuvo apoyada por un cuestionario. Entre datos más relevantes se destaca que la distribución entre hombres y mujeres es proporcional, la edad que predomina es de 14 a 16 años, siendo esta la etapa de la adolescencia media; los encuestados en su mayoría conocen sobre la definición de salud sexual y reproductiva, sobre los órganos del aparato genital masculino y femenino, pero no tienen claro lo que son los derechos sexuales y reproductivos. Así también la investigación muestra que los estudiantes tienen conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos especialmente de los preservativos masculinos que forman parte de los anticonceptivos de barrera, pero les falta conocer sobre otros métodos, de igual forma consideran que las principales fuentes de información sobre salud sexual y reproductiva deben ser los padres y maestros. | Descripción : | The sexual and reproductive health is fundamental for the persons, the couples and the families, as well as for the social and economic development of the communities and nations, it implies the power to enjoy a satisfactory, sure and responsible sexual life, as well as the aptitude of the couple to be reproduced and the freedom of deciding when and with what frequency, and the Sexual Health is a permanent process of attainment of physical, psychological well-being and sociocultural related to the sexuality. The following investigation developed in the morning school Calasanz, with the target to determine the knowledge on sexual and reproductive health that the students of the above mentioned institution have. The universe consisted of 850 students, the sample of 255 pupils who correspond to 30 % of the entire population between men and women who are studying its studies in this school. The investigation was descriptive and the instrument for the compilation of the information was the survey that was supported by a questionnaire. Between more excellent information one emphasizes that the distribution between men and women is proportional, the age over that it predominates is 14 to 16 years, being this the stage of the average adolescence; the interrogated persons mostly know on the definition of sexual and reproductive health, on the organs of the masculine and feminine genital device, but they are not sure what there are the sexual and reproductive rights. This way also the investigation shows that the students have knowledge on contraceptive methods especially of the masculine condoms that there is part of the contraceptive ones of barrier, but it is necessary to them to know on other methods, in the same way they think that the main information sources on sexual and reproductive health must be the parents and teachers.
