| dc.description | The present work of investigation Analysis of losses pos-harvests of maize (Zea Mays) in the canton Pindal Loja's province, it had as object: 1) the operations Evaluate pos-crop and commercialization of maize, 2) To construct an offer of managing pos-harvests and alternative commercialization for the maize adapted to the zone of study and 3) To socialize results obtained with producers and interested in general. The used methodology was based on the summary of secondary information, registered in books and Internet sites; as well as of primary information obtained across surveys, to the producers of the zone. The study added to it in laboratory of the losses he pos-harvests across a random sampling in: crop of maize, storage, transport and commercialization; with base in it an offer was generated to reduce the losses in the most critical phase. Finally the results were socialized in participative form by the farmers. The results established the phases with major losses, which are in the crop and storage, where it silvered alternatives of mitigation in the following aspects: for the crop, to reduce the assault of rodents; for which it is suitable to practice the burning of controlled form, achieving the major possible quantity destroying hereby the existing burrows; thinking that it is the best alternative that allows to control partly the assault of this plague in field conditions; on the other hand, to avoid the assault of insects and fungi in massive form, it is necessary to realize the crop in all that the grain has reached his physiological maturity and a degree of dampness reaches 13 to 15 %. In the storage the utilization of metallic silos, as well as also sacks of polypropylene, will give a good staunchness on having guarded the product, without leaving of side the technical procedure of conservation of the product along the whole stored one. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo de investigación Análisis de pérdidas pos-cosecha de maíz (Zea Mays) en el cantón Pindal provincia de Loja, tuvo como objeto: 1) Evaluar las operaciones pos-cosecha y comercialización de maíz, 2) Construir una propuesta de manejo pos-cosecha y comercialización alternativa para el maíz, adecuado a la zona de estudio y 3) Socializar resultados obtenidos con productores e interesados en general. La metodología utilizada se basó en la recopilación de información secundaria, registrada en libros y sitios de internet; así como de información primaria recabada a través de encuestas, a los productores de la zona. Se sumó a ello el estudio en laboratorio de las pérdidas pos-cosecha a través de un muestreo aleatorio en: cosecha de maíz, almacenamiento, transporte y comercialización; con base en ello se generó una propuesta para reducir las pérdidas en la fase más crítica. Finalmente se socializó los resultados en forma participativa con los agricultores. Los resultados establecieron las fases con mayores pérdidas, que son en la cosecha y almacenamiento, donde plateó alternativas de mitigación en los siguientes aspectos: para la cosecha,reducir el ataque de roedores; para lo cual es conveniente practicar la quema de forma controlada, logrando destruir de esta manera la mayor cantidad posible las madrigueras existentes; considerando que es la mejor alternativa que permite controlar en parte el ataque de esta plaga en condiciones de campo; por otro lado, para evitar el ataque de insectos y hongos en forma masiva, es necesario realizar la cosecha en cuanto el grano haya alcanzado su madurez fisiológica y alcance un grado de humedad 13 al 15 %. En el almacenamiento la utilización de silos metálicos, así como también sacos de polipropileno, dará una buena hermeticidad al guardar el producto, sin dejar de lado las normas técnicas de conservación del producto a lo largo de todo el almacenado. | es_ES |
